I've Decided I Want Twins!

So, this whole being "team green" thing is really making me want twins! Actually, I {feel} like I am having twins! It's a weird feeling because I'm imaging our life with a baby boy {and} with a baby girl and now I really don't want to let go of either!

I've bought just a few gender specific things for baby over the last couple of weeks. I haven't bought much but just wanted to have a few things on hand for the first week. Out of what we have bought I really don't want to have to return either the boy or the girl stuff! I want to use BOTH names we've picked out. I want our family to have a little brother and a little sister!

Usually we refer to the baby as a "he" because it just doesn't feel right calling the baby "it", know what I mean!?! =) But how do you call the baby a "he" and not feel like it really is going to be a boy?

Has anyone else who has been team green experienced this? I'm trying really hard not to think about the baby being a specific gender but it's hard not to do sometimes! I feel like I'm going to be so excited with whatever gender we do end up having but at the same time so disappointed over not {also} having the other gender!

In reality, we will only be bringing home ONE baby (at least I hope there's only one in there.... I'm pretty sure there is. =) ). It's hard to wrap our minds around that and yet still remind ourselves that the baby we bring home could be a boy or a girl and try to prepare ourselves for either.

Well, either way, there's no turning back now! No more ultrasounds and, with less than 5 (or possibly (if this baby comes at the same time Isaiah did) less than two) weeks left, it's crunch time! Can't wait until we get to meet our precious little one and FINALLY find out if he or she is a boy or a girl! I sure hope that "It's a Boy!" or "It's a Girl!" moment is worth the wait! =)

Coming home outfits for Baby! I didn't mean to, but somehow I ended up with an elephant theme. I bought most everything at different times and stores! =)

    1. Lol, kids clothes and other things have a way of making animals super cute. I've seen elephants in real life on safari in Africa and they're not really that cute. ;)

  3. Oh how fun is that! With our first we didn't know until she was born. My mother was sure it was a boy and got everything blue...ha! she did some major shopping the day after her first grand baby was born! I think we just called her "baby" but we didn't have to explain anything to other children because she was our first. It will be exciting for you to let us all know!!

    1. What a funny story! We call baby "the baby" a lot too but sometimes that just get's old and you just want to use a pronoun! Thankfully I do have both baby girl and baby boy stuff on hand from Isaiah and Eloise so I haven't felt like I need to buy too much yet. But I will have fun shopping once baby gets here. =)

  4. Those are some seriously cute elephants.

When I had my second, they kept telling me a boy. I had some complications so I had lots of ultrasounds. Every one of them confirmed that there would be a boy in our family. Nope. Girl. I had a lot of returning to do!

The hospital wouldn't take her back though.

    Kidding! Just kidding.

    1. Thanks, Missy. =) That's a crazy story! You don't hear of that happening much, usually ultrasound techs are pretty good at determining gender! I bet you had a ton of returning to do!!! Glad you couldn't return that sweet baby though! LOL!!! ;)

  5. I think this is the cutest post ever! I don't know how you can hold on and NOT know the sex. I would have chicken out a long time ago. I would have a house full of stuff , and I think I would drive myself crazy trying to find out. I can't wait to find out!!

    1. Lol! It's getting harder and harder as the time gets closer! I could never have not known for my first baby when I bought all of our initial baby stuff. I never even considered not finding out! But this time, thankfully, I have both boy and girl stuff on hand so I haven't had to buy a whole lot! But I will be doing some fun shopping once baby comes and we know if its a boy or a girl! ;)

  6. Oh so many years ago.. knowing just wasn't even an option when I was 'with child'.. I remember the doctor telling me I was having a big chubby baby boy.. so, it must be, right? However my grandmother and great grandmother (who was very sick) assured me I was having a girl.. so much that they made pink sweaters and blanket, so it must be, right? Of course I believed my grandmothers.. although I didn't purchase pink or blue, they did.. they knew.. and of course as with all important moments in my life, they were right. My great grandmother passed away three months before my daughter was born (to the day) but I remember that feeling of how she just knew and somehow got to meet Nicole before I did.

    1. What a sweet story! It is amazing that some people just seem to have the ability to "know" whether someone is having a boy or a girl! I know people who claim that they've never guessed wrong!
