Myrtle Beach!

Sorry it's been quiet here on the blog lately. We've been on vacation in Myrtle Beach and I've been having too much fun in the sun to think about my blog. =)

Although the drive down took two days and lots and lots of driving, the kids travelled pretty well. We sure were glad to get there, though!!!

What else is a girl to do with 15 hours in the car other than cover herself in stickers??
We vacationed with my mom and dad, two brothers and their wives (and one baby), my sister and her husband, my two little sisters, and my aunt and uncle and their three girls. It was a wild group!!! And so much fun!

The Luckey Family!
Yes, we are super goofy. We love to have a good time! =)

Uncle Bill and Aunt Stephanie
Gabe and Alyssa
Josh, Krystal and Novalee
Our family!
Derek and Kate
Dad, Mom, Janae and Adelynn
Love this good little baby!

Isaiah and Eloise had SO much fun in the pools! The resort had several pools (including indoor and outdoor ones!), a lazy river, a huge swirly slide, and a pirate ship water park for kids. Needless to say, they were exhausted at night! =)

The kids slept hard at night, that's for sure!!
Brave boy on the water slide!
The pirate ship!

Isaiah must have been pretty tuckered out to fall asleep like this...
He slept like this for over an hour! lol!
Little Miss took lots of naps too. =)
I also had the chance to meet up with my friend, Abby, who lives about 5 hours from Myrtle Beach. I graduated from high school with Abby over 10 years ago in Kampala, Uganda! It was so fun to meet up with her and meet her 4 kids! I'm glad she was willing to make the drive to spend a few days with us!

Some of our kids are missing but this is the best we could do. =)

The cutest part about the whole vacation for me was that Isaiah somehow got it in his mind that the pool itself was called Myrtle Beach. Each morning he would wake up and say, "Can we please go to Myrtle Beach now!?!?!" meaning that he wanted to go down to the pool. Lol!

Another cute thing Isaiah said during the trip was when Drew got up early to go play tennis one morning. When my dad came in and asked Isaiah where daddy was he said, "Oh, Daddy went to play Tennessee." =)

It was a great vacation and we all had a blast! We are planning to get the Luckey family together for vacation every two years and I am already looking forward to next time!

Happy Birthday Drew!

Today is Drew's birthday!! He is 27 years old and to honor him on his special day I'd like to list {27} things that I love about him! (It was either that or post 27 embarrassing picture of him, but, considering the sweet wife that I am, I decided to go with the former option (but I can't resist posting at least 2 embarrassing pictures of him)). ;)

Yes, this is my handsome husband and no, those are not his sunglasses. But if you take a picture on my phone I have full rights to use it. Sorry, babe.
TWENTY-SEVEN REASONS I LOVE DREW:

1. He is a romantic!
2. He is an awesome father and {LOVES} his kids!
3. He is always telling me how beautiful I am and complimenting my physical appearance (love that man!)
4. He is SMART and knows so much more about so many things than I could ever know
5. His idea of a romantic date night is the same as mine: stay at home, watch a show and eat a fun dessert!

This was last Valentine's Day. He took me to my favorite restaurant: Mia and Grace (the same restaurant we're going to tonight for his birthday because apparently it's his favorite too). =)

6. He texts me throughout the day to let me know he is thinking of me
7. He talks with me and shares his feelings
8. He is generous with his time and money, always giving something away!
9. He is loyal
10. He is HOTT!!!

Easter 2014
11. He has seen me at my worst and still loves me!
12. He forgives me over and over again
13. He stands by me and takes my side
14. He does the dishes (and we don't even have a dishwasher!!!)
15. He loves the Lord and teaches his kids about Jesus

Me too, Olive!

16. He's not afraid to do the right thing even when it's hard
17. He doesn't give up!
18. He works hard to provide for his family
19. He is good with our money and spends wisely
20. He runs errands for me with a willing attitude!

Such a good daddy.
21. He is smokin hott (oh did I say that already?!?)
22. He loves to surprise me and I love to be surprised!
23. He cares about others and puts value on relationships
24. He's not too proud to say "I'm sorry"
25. He makes me laugh
26. He reminds me that everything will be alright.
27. And lastly... I love him because he's {CRAZY} and keeps life interesting!! I'd be so bored without him!

Aunt Stephanie and Drew... yea, just don't ask.... =)

Drew, thank you for loving Jesus, me, and your children. We love you too!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Looking Forward to a Glorious Unfolding

I heard a song on the radio the other day that really resonated with me. The song is "Glorious Unfolding" by Steven Curtis Chapman.

Here are some of the lyrics:

"Lay your head down tonight
Take a rest from the fight
Don’t try to figure it out
Just listen to what I’m whispering to your heart
‘Cause I know this is not
Anything like you thought
The story of your life was gonna be"

The song is right! This past year has not been anything like what I thought the story of my life was gonna be! =)

{BUT} there's good news! Here are some more lyrics:

"There’s so much of the story that’s still yet to unfold
And this is going to be a glorious unfolding
Just you wait and see and you will be amazed
You’ve just got to believe the story is so far from over
So hold on to every promise God has made to us
And watch this glorious unfolding"

Drew and I are already seeing God's GLORIOUS plan unfolding in our lives. This past year has been hard on us but {HIS} plan is always so much better than ours. Aren't you glad He's given us this promise:

Are you in a place right now where you are wondering what in the world God is doing and life is just not turning out anything like what you had thought or planned? It's so easy to get discourage and lose hope in the midst of trials.

I know the feeling! But I'm encouraged by the reminder that I can trust my life into the hands of the Lord, the one who knows the past, present, and future and will work all things together for His glory.

"God’s plan from the start
For this world and your heart
Has been to show His glory and His grace"

We have some exciting things happening in our lives right now and we know that God has plans for us better than we could ever imagine. His ways are higher than our ways!

Please take some time to listen to the whole song below. The lyrics are worth your time!

"So let us remember this life we’re living
Is just the beginning of the beginning
Of this glorious unfolding"

Miss Olive: 2 Months Old

Our little Livy Kay is 2 months old today!! She has been such a joy to us and we already can't imagine our lives without her! She already has so much personality and is so loved by all of us.

2 months old!
Height & Weight: Not sure of her height but I just weighed her on our scale at home. Almost 13 pounds! Last week I put away all of her newborn clothes and she's officially in all 3 month size! Where is my little baby going? She's growing up way too fast!

Eating: Olive's still nursing very well, every three hours at roughly the same times each day and once at night. She's a good eater and I see some rolls developing in her future!! =)

My smiley 2 month old!
Sleep: She's been doing great with sleeping! She takes four naps during the day and at night sleeps from 8 pm - 7 am with only one night waking. I'll take it! She does like to take naps in her own crib and has a hard time sleeping elsewhere, which can be a bit hard when we're out and about.

Personality: She is such a happy baby! She's very content and has a very "go with the flow" type personality. She smiles SO much! Whenever she catches your eye, she'll smile at you! She's already so sweet and I could seriously just gobble her up!!!

Smilin at Daddy. <3
Fist bump!
Milestones: Olive has started "cooing" and "talking" to us. She found her hands recently and can now bring them up to her mouth and also rub her eyes.

Isaiah and Eloise: Isaiah and Eloise are still just as sweet as ever with her. They hate it when she cries and do everything they can to make her happy again.

When Olive goes down for a nap, Eloise is always asking, "Where'd baby go?" She's very concerned about knowing where her little sister is at all times! She still loves to hold her and help her get her paci back in when it falls out!

One day Olive was crying and so Isaiah decided he would share his blanket and his toy solider with her. =) He had to come back a few times for a little snuggle with his blankie, though. =) He is a great big brother and always loving on his sister.

Love this cute girl!!
Olive and Aunt Janae
Olive and Uncle Gabe
Olive and her cousin, Nova.
The grand kids on my side. Three of the four are mine... my brothers and sisters need to catch up!
